The world is a changing place for everyone especially the elderly clients I care for. Since March 23 everyone has been ordered to stay home and not have contact. My clients miss their family and friends so much. So I have to be the smile that brightens their day.
Yesterday the governor of Tennesse has stated on May 1 the world will begin to open. This is good and bad for my clients. They are so ready to see their family, go to dinner or walk in a store to say hello to the local grocery person. However, we must continue to take precautions by washing our hands and maintaining a 6 ft distance.
I hope with the state beginning to open my clients can begin to feel as if life is some what normal. Enjoy the pretty days as caregivers take them for walks and share a picnic outside at a park.
