My name is Velma Crochet. I am a journalism student at Volunteer State Community College, mom, wife and caregiver. I have seven daughters and six grandchildren. I am enjoying college even on the hard days and hopefully will graduate fall of 2020.

I have been a caregiver for most of my life it began with taking care of mother very early in my life because she was diagnosed with a very rare and debilitating back disorder. After my Mom died I wanted to give back, take care of people just as I had done for my mom.

I will be sharing some insight into being a caregiver, equipment caregivers use to take care of their clients, emotional parts of the job (sad and happy)and some fun stuff about healthy habits for the elderly.
